Feed My People · A Bridgewell program

One meal. One household. One Square Mile at a time.

A feeding program of Bridgewell Urban Group, built to eliminate food instability inside our Square Mile communities.

Starting January 2028

Feed My People will not begin until January 2028. No Feeding Center is open today, and nothing on this page means meals are being served. We are publishing the plan early so churches, volunteers, and partners can see what is coming.

The mission

Eliminate food instability.

Feed My People exists to eliminate food instability within Bridgewell Square Mile communities by providing daily meals, structured intake services, and direct routing into local church-based support systems.

Food Rescue & Delivery

Surplus food is recovered through structured partnerships and moved in temperature-controlled transport, with a documented chain of custody from pickup to delivery. Dominion Alliance Deliveries (D.A.D.) is the exclusive pickup and delivery partner.

Three Hot Meals a Day

Feeding Centers will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a safe, dignified dining environment, held to professional sanitation standards and with a visible security presence.

Intake & Square Mile Routing

Guests register, and their address is matched to the Square Mile map. A needs screening follows, and each person is routed to their local church or community organization. An intake conversation is encouraged but optional. Household information is confidential, used only for community stabilization and routing, and never resold or shared outside the program.

Take-Home Food Bags

Qualifying households, meaning those below a defined income threshold or showing food instability, receive take-home food bags, with families with children prioritized.

Churches, Businesses & Volunteers

Churches provide volunteer rotations, business partners sponsor service days, and students and interns help with intake and data.

How it will work

Dignity, a phased rollout, and public reporting.

01

Dignity First

Feed My People is faith-based, but service-first. No humiliation. No discrimination. No proselytizing during meal service. Every guest is treated as a future community leader.

02

A Phased Rollout

Phase 1 is a single pilot center. Phase 2 grows into a multi-center regional cluster. Phase 3 puts one Feeding Center in each high-need Square Mile cluster. The goal is to eliminate hunger within enrolled Square Miles in 24 to 36 months. That is a goal, not a result, and none of it starts before January 2028.

03

What We Will Report

Once meals are being served, we plan to publish monthly reports covering total meals served, food recovered, take-home bags distributed, households routed to Square Miles, uncovered Square Miles identified, repeat guests, incident reports, and cost per meal.

Get involved early
