Two roles, stated plainly.
Jeffrey A. Williamson, Sr. is Founder and a Board Member of Bridgewell Urban Group, the nonprofit that runs the Promise Zone program, and also leads Alliance Capital Reserve, the for-profit partner that funds it. Because the same person holds leadership roles on both sides, Bridgewell's board is putting the following safeguards in place to keep decisions in the community's interest.

Recusal
Board members recuse themselves from any vote where they have a financial interest.

Independent majority
Five-member board with three independent directors (a majority); the Board Chair is an independent director.

Conflict-of-interest policy
Written conflict-of-interest policy signed annually by every director.
Status
Pending board adoption, not yet in effect.
