A church becomes fully seated once it has submitted 4 zone reps, completed the 8-8-8 directory recruiting (8 vendors/home-based businesses + 8 merchants/small-to-mid businesses + 8 CBO/NGO/PBOs), and is reporting household data through KoboCollect. At that point it receives a full monthly stipend — not a single number, but an itemized breakdown of exactly what it's for.

We believe in our structured economic model so deeply that we remove the risk. Worked example (Kenya merchant, KES 240,000 paid over 12 months): if the directory ecosystem sends less business back than was paid in — say KES 180,000 attributed — Bridgewell refunds the KES 60,000 shortfall and gives a second year free. The same guarantee applies to U.S. merchants under their fair-market rate agreement. CBOs, NGOs, and PBOs use the earn-back mechanic above instead.

What is the Urban Transformation Initiative?▼

A faith-backed, structured economic network that pairs churches, businesses, and community organizations inside defined zones to build Common, not manage it from a distance — funded by business dues, church stipends, and donor/investor capital.

How do zones work?▼

Every zone is anchored by 6–8 churches, each running its own Promise Zone (5 blocks in the US, 0.5km in Kenya). Churches recruit the 8-8-8 directory, report household data, and become "fully seated" once complete.

Can businesses from outside Nairobi participate?▼

Yes — businesses can join a zone's directory from Kenya and the United States, wherever Bridgewell currently operates. This is how outside capital flows into the community. Use the region toggle to see Kenya or United States terms.

What is the Household Protection System?▼

Every household served inside a church's zone is permanently coded to that specific church. If a household is caught trying to get served by more than one church, that's treated as fraud: a first attempt gets a warning, a second attempt is a 2-year suspension from receiving program help.

How do churches and businesses work together?▼

Churches provide the trust, local presence, and household relationships. Businesses provide the funding and the goods/services directory those households can actually use. Neither works at scale without the other.

Is this the same as an Atlas Digital Grid (ADG) subscription?▼

No. This is the zone-partnership fee for Bridgewell Urban Group's directory and stipend program, separate from any Atlas Digital Grid digital product subscription. If you're considering both, ask your rep to walk through them side by side.
